Safe Sheds, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a source for affordable personal storm protection suitable for residential and commercial use.  

The founders of our company, Don and Betty Guymon, witnessed the devastation of a severe wind storm in a nearby town and determined that there was not a suitable solution on the market.  They set about studying the standards put forth in FEMA's publication 320 on residential safe rooms and storm shelters and designed an above ground unit that could be delivered to the customers site in a turn key fashion.  Since the founding of the company, our storm shelters have been sold throughout most of the US.  We strive to provide a great product at an affordable price.

In 2009, we moved our main production facility from Alma, IL to a larger facility in Salem IL and made some additional improvements in our construction process.  We currently produce both the 8x10 and 6x6 models from the Salem facility and have our own specialized transportation equipment to deliver and set the units in place at the customers site.  We will work with you every step of the way to answer your questions and assist you with your purchase to get the storm shelter you need.
