Every Shelter Includes An Emergency Escape Opening

The emergency escape opening (EEO)  is made of the same 3/16" heavy steel as our shelter door, and the steel frame is embedded into the concrete walls and attached to the rebar reinforcement. Opening inward, the dimensions of the EEO are 24" x 18". The special handle used to remove the interior bolts, in case of emergency, is included. The EEO has been tested for debris impact resistance at Texas Tech University's Wind Debris Laboratory.
